    Ellenor vs Gallagher takes shape

Bellator MMA has today confirmed the full fight card for Bellator Milan: Gallagher vs. Ellenor, which will take place on Saturday, October 3 at Allianz Cloud in Milan, Italy.

Bellator Milan: Gallagher vs. Ellenor, event will air LIVE at 10 p.m. BST on Channel 5 in the UK. In the U.S., the event will be streamed live on Bellator MMA’s YouTube channel at 5 p.m. ET/4 p.m. CT. Additionally, preliminary action will begin on Bellator MMA’s YouTube channel at 5:45 p.m. BST.

In a night stacked with Irish MMA talent, SBG Dublin’s Kiefer “Big Daddy” Crosbie (8-1)will take on Charlie “917” Leary (16-11-1)from Watford in an all-action 160-lb. contract weight matchup on the main card. Crosbie returns to the cage following a victorious last outing in February, where he claimed a storming win in front of his hometown crowd against Iamik Furtado. His opponent Leary heads to Milan with a point to prove, after being edged out by Tim Wilde in his last fight and will be looking to bounce back and claim a third promotional win.

Bellator announced last week that Irish hero James “Strabanimal” Gallagher and Sunderland’s Cal “Pacino” Ellenor will finally settle the score on their bitter rivalry in a bantamweight main event. Preceding this, Bellator’s prized knockout merchant “Relentless” Charlie Ward will go toe-to-toe with Estonian submission specialist Andy “Predator” Manzolo in a middleweight clash that presents a fascinating contrast of styles.

Elsewhere, the preliminary card sees a host of Bellator’s finest UK, Irish and European fighters make their return, in what will be a blockbuster finish to the promotion’s two-week residency in Milan.

Scotland’s Chris “The Bad Guy” Bungard (15-6) will be looking for a third win inside the Bellator cage and is set to meet veteran Aymard “Barakuda” Guih (13-11-1) of the Ivory Coast in a lightweight match-up.

Meanwhile, Mountmellick’s Sinead ‘KO’ Kavanagh (6-4),who also fights out of the famous SBG gym, will look to kick on from last year’s victory over Olga Rubin. Kavanagh will take on Bellator debutant Katharina Lehner (7-2) from Germany.

The formidable Kane ‘The Danger’ Mousah (12-3) of Manchester will also be in action. Mousah is set to go toe-to-toe with Italian Alessandro “The Bad” Botti (15-11)just a stone’s throw from Botti’s hometown of Barzanò.

Additionally, the card showcases two light heavyweight matchups, as Italian MMA icon and Bellator Ambassador Alessio “Legionarius” Sakara (24-13, 2 NC) looks to celebrate his homecoming against Spain’s Darwin “El Noble” Rodriguez (9-5), while Sweden’s “King” Karl Albrektsson (9-3) takes on David “Hitter” Trallero for the opportunity to advance in the ultra-competitive division.

Bellator can also today confirm that Irish fans will be able to watch Bellator Milan: Gallagher vs. Ellenor, on Virgin Media Television terrestrial channel Virgin  Media Two, with the full main card live from 10 p.m. Virgin Media Television will also broadcast two other Bellator European Series shows over the coming weeks including Bellator Milan: Edwards vs. van Steenis on Saturday, September 26, and Bellator Paris: Kongo vs. Johnson on Saturday, October 10, both of which will be live on Virgin Media Sport.
