After five months on the sidelines due to coronavirus pandemic precautions, ONE Championship is on its way back to business.
The promotion announced Friday that it will hold its first major event since February when it hosts a show on July 31 in Bangkok, Thailand.

This past weekend saw ONE hold two Hero Series events in China, cards that are designed to showcase up-and-coming fighters from Asia. The July event will presumably feature the stars of ONE that have been out-of-action for the first half of 2020, though no bouts were officially announced for the show titled “ONE: No Surrender.”
Some marquee matchups that were postponed due to the COVID-19 shutdown include ONE flyweight grand prix winner and former UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson vs. current 135-pound champion Adriano Moraes, and Aung La Nsang defending his 205-pound title against Vitaly Bigdash, both of which were supposed to happen at the inaugural Infinity event on April 10.
The second Infinity event on May 29 would have seen Eddie Alvarez, Christian Lee, Brandon Vera, and Arjan Bhullar in action. In April, ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong announced that all scheduled events would be postponed until the end of May.
ONE’s last major event, ONE Championship: King of the Jungle was a kickboxing and MMA show in Singapore headlined by Janet Todd defeating Stamp Fairtex by split decision in a 115-pound muay Thai championship bout.
