Holland tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the upcoming bout, which forced UFC officials to pull him from the main event. Sources confirmed the news to MMA Fighting with Holland also confirming the news via Twitter.
I have been pulled from my main event bout next weekend due to a positive pre fight covid test. Hoping to test clean and get back inside the cage ASAP. pic.twitter.com/KfMF4jQFQg

Holland himself was a replacement in the main event after Darren Till was forced off the card due to injury.
After fighting and winning four times already in 2020, Holland accepted the opportunity to step into the main event while facing off against a top five ranked opponent in Hermansson.
Now Hermansson is once again left without an opponent as the UFC scrambles to find a replacement to save the main event on Dec. 5.
Vettori is currently scheduled to face Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza at UFC 256 on Dec. 12, but it appears the promotion might pull him in order to give the Dec. 5 card a new main event.
